Participating in the 5-day Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) residential intensive with Alexander Technique (AT) interweaves, led by Martin Warner, created a unique opportunity for deep integration and profound personal and professional growth. The intimacy of the group process played a powerful role in supporting the overall learning—fostering connection, safety, and resonance that seemed to reach the level where true change begins: the deep brain. This collective environment not only enhanced my personal insight into my own processing patterns but also helped me feel more grounded and supported in the work.

Clinically, the experience refined my ability to recognize the subtle manifestations of bracing and armoring that can inhibit the progression of DBR processing. With Martin’s expert guidance, I gained increased confidence not only in my clinical observation, but also in the practical application of identifying when and how to integrate Alexander Technique interweaves to support and deepen the therapeutic process.

Martin brings a rare level of attunement to the learning space—he reads the needs of the group and adapts in the moment to optimize the experience for everyone. His skillful storytelling weaves theory, clinical practice, and embodiment into an approach that is both innovative and highly applicable. This training is an invaluable experience for any clinician seeking to deepen their somatic and trauma-focused work with clients.
